Fairbanks, Alaska / Eielson Air Force Base

Class standing/years in college:

A bit about me:

Born in New Mexico, but raised in Fairbanks. I love meeting new people and trying new things! I enjoy cooking, bakin, and trying new foods. I work at a local Physical Therapy office, as well as at the Student Recreation Center on campus.

Why did you choose to attend UAF?

I chose UAF because it seemed like a great place to start college at. I didn’t expect to stay here, but I fell in love with the campus and people and can’t imagine leaving!

What do you like best about UAF?

I really enjoy the people at UAF. Everyone is completely different and unique, and I love getting to know new people! I also really like the class sizes, and how approachable all of the professors are.

What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?

In my spare time I enjoy reading, knitting, running, weightlifting and being active. I work for the Wellness department at the Student Rec Center, and have helped with the Nanook Traditions Board on campus.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?

Get involved in at least one activity! Whether it’s joining a club or playing intramurals, getting involved will help you meet new people and establish your new UAF family!

What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?

I haven’t had a chance to do any fieldwork....yet!

What do you hope to do after you graduate?

After I graduate I hope to go to Physical Therapy school and become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
