Class standing/years in college:
A bit about me:
Born in the Philippines and moved to Alaska and learned English when I was seven. I love music, radio broadcasting, traveling, being outside and learning about the world as much as I can.
Why did you choose to attend UAF?
UAF was affordable, and I wanted to explore the northern part of Alaska and get outside more.
What do you like best about UAF?
I love the UAF community and school spirit! UAF graduates always speak well of their time here, and I really enjoy the positivity.
What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I enjoy playing violin and currently play with the Northern Lights string orchestra and the Fairbanks Symphony. I love doing radio, and I'm working on a radio series this fall and volunteering with the Northern Alaska Environmental Center.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?
Follow your gut and go with UAF if you are into it!
What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?
Talking to advisors and going to campus job fairs as well as speaking with Career Services.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I would like to take a year off and travel in South America and Asia then go to grad school for urban planning and sustainable development.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
