About Interior Alaska Campus
Welcome to Interior Alaska Campus (IAC). IAC is one of five campuses serving rural Alaskan students through the College of Rural and Community Development (CRCD). We are a unique campus due to the area we serve, our teaching formats and the integration of cultural knowledge and practices into our curriculum.
The rural campuses are a critical link between the University of Alaska and rural residents, many in remote communities off the road system. IAC provides distance and place-based education to numerous communities in the Interior Region. This far reaching area is served through administrative and educational centers in Fairbanks, Fort Yukon and Tok.
Our courses and programs provide relevant skills and knowledge on a wide range of topics including Associate of Science, Construction Trades Technology, Tribal Management, Rural Human Services, Wildland Fire, Education and other areas. We take pride in the usefulness of our courses and our accessibility. Our staff and faculty go out of their way to aid student success. We also have bridging programs and courses for high school students and those who would like to enter college after time away from formal education.
We invite you to learn more about our programs and see if there is something there for you. If you have questions, contact us. We would like to help you learn new and interesting things and, just perhaps, find a career you love.
