A bit about me:

I enjoy being active, having fun and meeting new people. I also read, bake, bike, and hang out with my friends. There's so much to do in life, and I'm excited to try it all!

Why did you choose to attend UAF?

I chose UAF because I knew I'd encounter unique opportunities and a vibrant campus life. Fairbanks is large enough for energy and enthusiasm, but small enough for individualism. Plus, I wouldn't pass up the experience of living at America's Farthest North University.

What do you like best about UAF?

I love the energy of the community! Students, faculty and staff are all so wonderful and helpful. There are so many opportunities to be active!

What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?

I try to be as active as possible! You can find me playing frisbee by the Student Recreation Center, having fun with the German Club in the Foreign Language Lab, or studying at one of many locations. I'm also President of the Honors Students Advisory Council, and sometimes I like to just wander around campus.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?

Learn about how students get involved! If you're passionate about being outside and enjoying nature, UAF is ideal. If you'd like to start participating in scientific research, UAF can give you that opportunity.

What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?

I've been involved in original research and participated in UAF Research Day. In addition, I've developed leadership experience through the organizations I'm a part of.

What do you hope to do after you graduate?

After I graduate with my math major, I plan to attend graduate school for economics. As an economist, I'll use the skills I've learned at UAF to conduct research.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

Germany! I love the language, history and culture, and I've always wanted to try living there.
