A Peek at the Week!
Every week your kids get to determine their own schedule. Weekly postings will keep you in the loop with where they are and what great activity they are enjoying. Check out our schedule for this week...
Each week is a different experience. Campers sit down every Monday morning, break into groups based on age, and give input into that week's schedule. Most weeks include a trip to the Wood Center for bowling and swimming at the Patty Center. When we play inside we take advantage of the SRC facilities! We rock climb, play basketball and tennis, and our campers have made an art out of creating new dodgeball games!
We go outside and play ultimate frisbee, soccer, volleyball, take nature walks and build forts in the woods! Last year we walked to the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed their beauty while we had lunch. When the sun was at its brightest we had a water balloon fight and ran through the sprinklers. When the rain came we got to use the yurt for a pajama party and movie!
We ask that each camper bring lunch and two snacks. We run and play all day and need to replenish our energy!
Campers can be dropped off at 7:30am, and need to be picked up by 5:30pm. A full week of camp is $275 ($250 if you are a SRC member), and we offer a 10% discount for paying for four or more weeks at a time. We also offer half days (7:30-12:30 or 12:30 to 5:30) for $150. It's nice to know in advance that you're coming, but we usually have room for drop-ins on daily basis ($60 for a full day; $30 for a half day).
All campers do need to complete the paperwork below and provide a copy of their up-to-date immunization records. The UAF Recreational camp is a state-licensed daycare facility, and we do accept daycare assistance.
