General Information

2015 WINTERmester credit courses are intense; a three-credit class meets for only nine days.  Many credit courses require reading to be completed prior to the start of class. Check the course syllabi for more information.

  • A 2.5 GPA is required to take a 100 or 200 level course during WINTERmester.
WINTERmester registration begins November 10 for degree-seeking students and November 17 for non-degree-seeking students.
  • Registration is limited to 3 credits during WINTERmester.
The last day to withdraw from a WINTERmester class is the sixth day of class, January 9.

WINTERmester payment must be completed by January 5. Late payment fees begin January 6. Students with guaranteed financial aid for spring semester will have payment applied to their account with the spring financial aid disbursement.
  • Dorm housing is available. Contact Residence Life for information and reservations at 907-474-7247.

Individuals qualified to use a Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver must attend the first day of class, January 3, to determine if space is available in a credit course. If the instructor verifies there is space, registration and payment can be completed in Signers Hall on January 5. The waiver applies only to tuition; non-credit course fees and books are the responsibility of the student.

Note: Degree seeking students can register on UAonline

All others, please use the secure Summer Sessions registration form (the link will be active on Nov. 17).
