All UAF undergraduate students are invited to present their projects on Research Day. See registration details below. Research posters and presentations of creative projects are welcome from every academic discipline. Posters will be displayed in the Wood Center for the entire day. Presenters are eligible to win one of several $100 Dean's Choice awards.
To present your project at Research Day, log into your Google Apps @ UA account. Then complete the electronic Research Day Registration Form. You do not need to request permission to view the form. If you get a message that the document is not published, be sure to log out of all gmail accounts, log in to your @alaska.edu email account, and try again.
For projects with multiple authors or collaborators, only the primary author should submit the registration form. Registration deadline is April 22, 2014. Register early! Presenters who registered by April 4 should submit their pdf posters to email@example.com by April 16 to receive free poster printing.
Create a Poster
Your first choice for help with creating your poster/presentation should be your faculty mentor. Posters are usually created in MS Powerpoint and converted to Adobe pdf for printing. Stop by 301 Bunnell to see a variety of poster styles displayed in the hallway. Sample posters can be downloaded here and here. Finished posters are usually 2 x 3 feet or 3 x 4 feet in size, either portrait or landscape. Posters with dark backgrounds are more expensive to print than posters with light backgrounds. UAF Printing Services can trim your poster; they are located in 131 Bunnell.
Graduate and Post-Doctoral Students
Due to space constraints, we cannot accommodate graduate and post-doctoral posters on Research Day.
