Energy Technology Facility


The Energy Technology Facility is operated by the Alaska Center for Energy and Power. Facilities include a diesel engine test bed, a wind turbine simulator, advanced energy storage technology and hydrokinetic devices. The groundbreaking for phase one construction of the lab modules took place May 12, 2011, and the facility officially opened in February 2012. Phase two will include a main office building to serve as the new home for ACEP, scheduled for construction in 2015.
