Leadership Program

The UAF Leadership Program provides opportunities for students to learn about and practice leadership skills. All students, from emerging to experienced leaders, are encouraged to become engaged in leadership through sharing experiences with other campus and Fairbanks community members. Activities include clubs, organizations and Greek Life, the UAF LEADS workshop series, the UAF Student Leadership Conference, the Leaders for Alaska Institute and an Advisory Committee. Student leadership is recognized through the annual Emerging Leaders Scholarship and at the Nanook Honors Celebration each spring. UAF’s capstone leadership honor is the awarding of Graduation with Leadership Honors to students who have served as exemplary leaders during their time at UAF. The UAF Leadership Program is located in the Wood Center and is part of Student Affairs. We also serve as a clearinghouse for other leadership opportunities off and on campus.
