2018 GRAFTING APPLE TREES — MAY 3, 5 & 6

Come learn the basics of grafting apple trees from a local expert and find out what rootstocks work best for YOUR location. Participants will graft four apple trees to take home. Two beginner workshops and one intermediate workshop are offered.

WORKSHOP DATES: Two beginner workshops are available, May 3 OR May 5; pick the date and time that work best for you. The intermediate workshop, May 6, is for those who have already taken the beginner class or have previous grafting experience.
REGISTRATION: Preregistration is required for all classes. To register, click on the WORKSHOP TITLE of your choice and follow the easy steps. You will receive an email confirming your reservation. Call 474-1530 for questions or if you need assistance with registration.
- BEGINNER WORKSHOP — Thursday, May 3 — 6-9 p.m.
- BEGINNER WORKSHOP — Saturday, May 5 — 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP — Sunday, May 6 — 2-5 p.m.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring leather work gloves, a sharp knife with a straight, thin blade and a cutting board to class.
COST: Beginner class is $30 for materials. Intermediate class is $5/per tree. PAY AT CLASS with cash or check (payable to Steve Masterman).
LOCATION: UAF Arctic Health Research Building, 901 S. Koyukuk Drive, Room 1W05. Free parking available on west side of building (lot 98). Enter building through west-facing doors.
