Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
Keith Champagne became the vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in December 2017, after serving in leadership roles in student affairs, academic affairs, diversity and inclusion, student success, and university athletics at Central Washington University.
He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, Public Relations from Loyola University, New Orleans, a Master’s of Science Degree in Communications and Media Management from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership and Sports Management from The University of Washington.
He is a graduate of the Sports Management Institute and the NASPA Richard Stevens Institute. His professional interest includes research in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership, Leadership and Diversity in Sports Management and Critical Race Theory.
