UAF Math & Developmental Math Placement

All new students will need to take the ALEKS math placement test. Don’t worry! You take it on your own computer and take as much time as you need. After you take the placement test you will see what course is recommended for you. The great thing about the ALEKS placement test is that you can improve your score and place into a higher class!  After you take the placement test, go into the optional learning mode of ALEKS. The program will give you help on problems and concepts that you need to work on. After three hours in the learning mode you can choose to take the placement test again. You will have up to five attempts. Visit UAF's math placement website to learn more about the math placement and to enter the placement exam.
