8/22/16 - Sign-ups for Fall I Intramurals will open this weekend, Friday, August 26th. Sports for the first season of the fall semester will include Soccer (Rec & Comp Leagues), 6v6 Volleyball, Ice Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, and Flag Football. If you do not know how to sign up for intramurals, follow the instructions below or contact Daniel Vernon at Sign-ups will run through September 9th, please make sure to sign up before then!

The Intramural Staff is looking to hire new motivated referees for the upcoming 16-17' school year. Love sports, working with your peers, and hate being stuck in a desk? Come work with Nanook Intramurals as an Intramural Referee! Flexible schedules, fun and interactive environments, and we work in the evenings so as to not interfere with your daytime classes! If interested, please apply online at ( or email for more information!

We will also be holding a UAF Campus Disc Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 1st at 2pm. Free to all, the lowest scores after 15 holes will win.The tournament will begin at the UAF Blue Course by the Museum of the North. Registration starts at 1pm or pre-register via by leaving your name and number.The tournament will feature prizes for the top 3 finishers provided by DRAW and the Fairbanks Disc Golf Association. Be sure to come out and bring a friend! Discs will be provided for those who need them (while supplies last).

Don't Know How To Sign Up For Intramurals?

Here is How!

  1. Sign up for IM LEAGUES or LOGIN to IM Leagues.
  2. Click on the University of Alaska Fairbanks button top tool bar.
  3. Scroll down to view the sport you want to sign up a team for.
  4. Click on the BLUE FONT word of the sport you want to play in. 
  5. After clicking on the sport you want to play in, click on the picture of the sport. This will then take you to the league. 
  6. Click on the GREEN tab that says REGISTER/ SIGN UP
  7. Choose to either CREATE TEAM, JOIN TEAM (If your joining a friends team), or FREE AGENT.
  8. After submission, you can see the team home page.
  9. Make sure all information is filled out and payment is received. 
  10. Once you have done this, please allow some time for your team to be approved, it will show that you are on the "waitlist".

What are "Intramurals"?

  • Intramural sports are organized programs that allows faculty, staff and students (and spouses) who are members of the SRC to participate in team and individual sport activities.
  • Intramurals provides the opportunity for physical activity, fellowship, promotes wellness, and the use of leisure time.
  • WHO IS ELIGIBLE: All students, faculty, staff and significant others with a current SRC privilege are eligible to play.
  • WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE: SRC Alumni members, SRC Public members and children dependants of any SRC members.

How much does it cost?

Hockey: $26.75 per individual

Broomball: $16.25

Field/Court Sports: $11.10 per individual

*Fees must be paid online through before the given deadline or teams will be dropped

**If you are unable to pay online, fees are also accepted at the SRC with an added charge ($27 for ice sports; $8 for all others)
