Max Frey is a proud University of Alaska Fairbanks alumnus and has been with UAF professionally since 2012. He comes to the Development and Alumni Relations Office to serve as a Development Officer from his prior position with the UAF Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP). In his development role, Max also serves as the Annual Giving liaison with the UA Foundation to facilitate activities to coordinate and cultivate donor engagement at UAF. He brings a passion for his alma mater to his new position gained from his recent work, from his experience as a UAF School of Management student, and as a strong supporter of the Nanook Nation.
In his former position with ACEP, Max was responsible for a variety of PR, marketing, public outreach, event organization, and media design tasks. Prior to working at ACEP, Max was employed by a local renewable energy company. There he had his first experience with large scale event organization and donor engagement.
While a student at UAF, Max attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration with a focus on Marketing and a minor in the German language. Currently Max and his wife live in Fairbanks with their daughter and are excited to be welcoming a son in February. He was born and raised in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of Alaska and he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and any other activity that involves spending time with friends and relatives outside in the great state he calls home.
