New key and lock policy, weather closure policy

April 2, 2019

University Relations

The key and lock policy (05.08.010) is new and has several new responsibilities for any university key holder. Employees should review the policy and become familiar with the responsibility of holding keys for university facilities.

The second policy (04.06.141) is the weather closure policy for areas outside of the Fairbanks campus, and is also new. The weather has been more than unpredictable over the last several years, leaving many guessing as to what they should do or when they should proceed to campus or their work location. This policy is intended to provide clear guidance to all faculty, staff and students.

Both policies have been reviewed and approved through governance and UAF leadership and approved by the chancellor.

These and all other UAF policies can be found on the policies page of the chancellor's website. For more information contact executive officer Nickole Conley at nlconley@alaska.edu.
