Opening Welcoming Events
Rev-It-Up runs from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016. We help students move into their rooms, and get everything they need to start school.
Welcoming Meetings for all residents are held within the first week of school either by complex or by floor.
Casino Night the starts the year off with a fun evening in the Hess Rec. Center of black jack, texas hold 'em, bingo, and prizes to be won! All this free fun and food will be on Friday, September 3 from 9PM to 12AM in the Hess Rec. Center.
Toga and Starvation Gulch
Toga Kick-off Dance Make your bed sheet into a toga, and take your friends to the kick-off dance. Hot Toga Night will last from 10PM to 2AM on Friday, September 9 in the Hess Rec. Center. Admission $5 On-Campus Resident / $10 Off-Campus Individual. On-campus students must present their polar express card and off -campus students must have state ID and must be 18 or older. Students that live in the Residence Halls that are 17 can attend.
Starvation Gulch Bonfires have been a symbol of the passing of the torch of knowledge to our new students since 1923. We welcome back all our students with these great fires, and a huge party weekend!
Trick-or-Treat in the Halls / Children's Carnival Residents welcome children to a tour the halls for candy with a chaperone, then stay for a great, fun and free carnival with games and pumpkins.
