Here to assist you.

Our highly trained academic peer mentors can assist you with subjects that can often be difficult and required for a variety of majors across campus (engineering, business, chemistry, economics, and world languages). Tutoring is offered on a drop-in basis or by appointment. Tutors will work together with you to help you better understand concepts. Please respect their work by doing your own work before coming to a tutoring session. Bring all texts, homework assignments, notes, etc. with you, as we do not have such materials.

Bryan Saenz
My name is Bryan Saenz and I'm from Avon, Colorado. I've lived in Colorado practically all my life. That all changed when I came here to UAF. I've come to Alaska in search of new experiences and adventures. My passion lies in the outdoor's and that is why I've chose Fairbanks, although, the darkness and freezing temperatures have prohibited me from doing so. My declared major is a BS in Mechanical Engineering and as a standing sophomore I am glad to say that engineering is what I'll be pursuing. I'm looking forwards to meeting new people and learning new things! Tutors in these subjects: Chemistry 105; Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry; English 111; Communications 131; Psychology; Spanish; ES101; LS101: Arts
Ted Robinson
Hi, I’m Ted. I am new to UAF as of January ‘17. I’m here to study geological engineering. I have been tutoring and mentoring from the time I was a freshman in high school. I’ve worked with students from the elementary level through the college level. I tutor in math, history, English, and science. I have experience as a college counselor and am able to advise on college admissions, course planning, and job searching. I enjoy the outdoors, listening to music, reading, writing, swimming and ice hockey. Tutors in these subjects: General Chemistry; Math 251; All English courses; History courses; Statistics; Spanish; Writing; Political Science
Best Kulavitaya
I’ve moved from Thailand, to California, to Alaska. I’m a sophomore, declared as a petroleum engineering major, but I'm switching to chemical engineering next semester. I am obsessed with traveling. I spend a lot of time planning my trips and looking at plane tickets! I just went on a month-long solo backpacking trip during winter break, and it was the best month of my life. So ask away if you want to know more about it. I’ve become a peer mentor because I want to help you out and make it easier for you to get through your classes. So PLEASE feel free to ask for help. Tutors in these subjects: General Chemistry, 103 and 321; Math 251, 252 and 253; Communications 141; Physics 211; ES201; PETE101
Josh Hartman
Josh is an undergraduate student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where he is studying biology and economics. He writes articles—mostly about science—for the Sun Star. Josh plays the guitar and enjoys listening to all genres of music, especially when he is procrastinating his actual work. In the future, Josh hopes to do neurobiology research as a college professor. Tutors in these subjects: Biology 115, 116 and 260; General Chemistry; Communication 141; Statistics 200; Writing — journalistic, creative and academic
