Fast Track Allied Health certification in high-growth medical fields

A grant from the U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with UAF Community & Technical College

The HEART program is designed to provide students with distance learning opportunities in Allied Health.  You will earn a valuable medical certificate that builds a foundation for further education-- or a "pathway" to advanced degree programs.  Not only are you obtaining a certificate that will lead to high-demand jobs in healthcare, you also are on the path to a healthcare degree--which leads to increased job opportunities and pay. 

The following HEART certificate programs are offered through UAF Community & Technical College (CTC), while "pathways" are options for further education.  See the sidebar for links to program details, and stay posted for success stories from our students!

Certified Nurse Aide--> Pathway to LPN Associate or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing

Medical Assistant --> Pathway to Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Assisting

Dental Assistant --> Pathway to AAS in Dental Hygiene 

Paramedic Academy--> Pathway to AAS in Emergency Medical Services or Bachelor of Emergency Management
