What is Alternative Spring Break?

The goal of the Alternative Break Program is to give students a chance to have a positive impact on another community through hands-on-service projects. You can help be a part of the solution!

Every year the LIVE Program takes a group of students on a different type of service-learning trip. Check out the menu to look at our past trips.

2017 Alternative Spring Break will be in San Francisco!

This Spring Break we will be traveling to San Francisco to volunteer by leading youth development activities, as well as working with rebuilding, and environmental efforts given the abundance of recent earthquakes and forest fires in the area.

This year's AB Team has begun the task of fundraising $20,000 to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area to work with the Boys and Girls Club. So far we've hosted a walking taco fundraiser, written donation letters, and started a 50/50 raffle. Fundraising kicks into full gear during the spring semester! We'll be hosting Pub Karaoke, selling kripsy kremes, hosting a silent auction, selling raffle tickets, and providing sweet treats in the IARC and INE lobbies. Check out the LIVE OrgSync page to keep track of when and where you can donate!
