Law and Order Fairbanks

Grade 2-3 will focus on fun games and hands-on-activities that help kids gain fine motor control while learning simple Japanese words and phrases. Grade 7-8 is a fun introduction to Japanese and its non-alphabetical writing system. Students will focus on mastering Hiragana, one of the three writing systems of Japanese, with collaborative activities.

Junior Firefighters Camp

Investigate the types of work that firefighters perform, including emergency medical care, rescue, and firefighting. Activities may include practicing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and cardiac defibrillation, observing the use of powered rescue tools, and using firefighting equipment such as hand tools, fire hoses, and ladders. Participants will work alongside the firefighters performing station upkeep, house-keeping, and daily equipment checks.
