Hostile environment

A hostile environment is when discrimination under this sex and gender-based discrimination policy is sufficiently serious (i.e., severe, pervasive, or persistent) and is both subjectively and objectively offensive so as to deny or limit a person's ability to participate in or benefit from the university's programs, or to interfere with a university employee's ability to perform the employee's job. R01.04.010 Sex Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct.
