ProCard & Travel Card - In order to obtain a ProCard or Travel card, please complete the ProCard application to schedule training with Procurement & Contract Services
Procurement - Learn how to make purchases in Banner using POs, Call Numbers & Requisitions, as well as key receiving and look up information in FOIDOCH (training is necessary to obtain data-entry access to the Banner procurement screens)
TOAD - Data mining tips & tricks, manipulation, advanced outputs, and reference documents to help you get the most out of the TOAD Query software
Travel - TEM training offered monthly for new users or as a refresher course (check training calendar for upcoming dates)
Supervisor Training - Designed to give supervisors at the university the tools and resources to be successful at managing and mentoring their employees. This program is comprised of 3 different modules.
PPA Training - Important Personnel Payroll Assistant training (mandatory for PPA position)
Workplace Bullying Awareness - Identifying and avoiding workplace bullying (mandatory for supervisors only, but recommended for all employees)
Animal Care & Use - The "Working with the IACUC" course is required for all individuals working with live vertebrates.
Human Subjects - Training in human subject protections is required for all UAF principal investigators and graduate students conducting human subject research.
Conflicts of Interest - Training in conflicts of interest is required for all UAF principal investigators receiving PHS funding.
Responsible Conduct in Research - Provides a basic overview of the concepts of Responsible Conduct in Research. Offered as a web-based course, a seminar series, and as the course LAS 601.
Animal Facility Orientation - This in-person session is intended for all personnel working in UAF-owned animal facilities in Fairbanks.
IRB Orientation - This in-person session is intended as an introduction to the UAF Instititutional Review Board's policies, procedures, review types, and forms.
IBC Orientation - This in-person session is intended as an introduction to the UAF Institutional Biosafety Committee's policies, procedures, review types, and forms.
Biological Safety Cabinet Training - This course is required for all individuals who will be working with a Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC). Training must be completed before an individual can be approved to work on any project requiring use of a BSC.
Export Controls - This ITAR/EAR related training is offered in person as needed. Please contact the Office of Research Integrity to schedule a training customized to your export control needs/requirements.
Blackboard - During these two hours, Chris Beks and Travis Payton will be available for short, quick Blackboard Support in an online environment. They will answer any questions, work with faculty on particular problems, or just help setting up courses.
Google - This training includes an overview of Google Email, Documents and Calendar. In order to take part, attendees must have an active Google Apps @ UA account.
Roxen Version 5 - This introductory class focuses on the templates and features available in Roxen version 5. Learn to update your Roxen site in this class.
Roxen Forms and Menus - Learn to modify menus and create forms using Roxen templates used in sites built since January of 2008. You must have attended Roxen training on version 5 templates (Roxen Content Provider) to attend this two hour class
iTunes U - This class will walk you through the steps needed to complete the initial configuration of your iTunes U course account. You will need to have previously requested an iTunes U course account and received the log-in information. Instructions are at: http://www.uaf.edu/multimedia/podcasts/submit.html.
TOAD - TOAD for Application Developers is the replacement for Query builder. You will learn to: Open and customize the Toad environment Find and execute stored queries Modify existing queries Export your results This class is required for advanced training from your functional area experts.
Adobe Acrobat Pro - This class will introduce the creation of simple calculable forms.
Banner Navigation - This class is an introduction to Banner Navigation. You MUST have access to Banner TRNX to attend this course. It covers the basics of the interface, types of forms, navigation methods, and basic security. It is preparation for training in your functional area.
GarageBand - Use Apple's GarageBand to create a simple podcast. Time permitting, if you bring your own images and audio files, you will have time to work on assembling your podcast.
