Mark Oldmixon - Director
Mark Oldmixon is the Director of Wood Center and the Department of Recreation, Adventure, and Wellness (DRAW) at UAF. Mark moved to Fairbanks in 2006 from New England. He found the dream job of teaching outdoor education in Alaska with Outdoor Adventures in the Wood Center. After 6 years with Outdoor Adventures, he became the Director for the newly formed DRAW. In March 2016, he happily came back to be a part of Wood Center as the new Director. He and his wife Lael Oldmixon have two young children, Quinn and Mae.
Ryan Keele - Building Manager
Ryan began working for the Wood Center as a Front Desk Attendant while pursuing his Bachelor's Degree here at UAF. After graduating in 2008, he spent two years working at the UAF Office of the Bursar as the Office Manager and as the Agency Billing Specialist. He welcomes feedback about the Wood Center and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Heidi is a valuable asset to the Wood Center. Returning to the office she worked in as a student Heidi. Resourceful, knowledgable, and always willing to help Heidi is also a personal trainer so watch out! Don't worry, she's very nice.
Lisa Latronica- Student Activities Coordinator
Lisa joined the Wood Center staff at the Student Activities Coordinator in October 2016. Prior to coming to UAF, she worked in Residence Life at Colorado School of Mines and North Carolina State University and received her Masters in Higher Education from NC State and her BA in Art History and Fine Arts from Loyola University Chicago. Outside of work, you can find Lisa walking her dog, Raleigh, cooking or baking, taking photographs, or exploring new places. She is always up for grabbing a coffee or finding a snack!
Amy Cross - Diversity & Prevention Coordinator, Nanook Diversity & Action Center (NDAC)
Amy joined the Wood Center Staff in May 2017. A recent UAF graduate, Amy completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology, Justice, and Women & Gender studies in December 2016. Amy is passionate about promoting social justice and ending violence! In her free time Amy enjoys practicing yoga, playing in the outdoors, and spending time with her pup Olive. Don’t hesitate to stop by the NDAC office with questions, suggestions, or just to visit!
Cody Rogers - Associate Director of Wood Center
Cody joined the Wood Center staff in September of 2008 and hit the ground running. She completed her Masters in Student Affairs at Western Washington University in August of 2008, and her undergraduate degree from UAF in 2007. Cody spends her free time playing with her two dogs, cooking, and quilting.
