ASUAF President and Vice President

The ASUAF president and vice president serve as the chief executives of the association. The president and vice president are elected each spring by the student body in the general election.

The ASUAF president acts as the official spokes person for ASUAF and the student body. In this role, the president provides leadership, support and direction for ASUAF as a while adn appoints numerous representatives on boards and committees throughout the university. The president works closely with the ASUAF Senate Chair and other members of the Senate and has the authority to approve or veto Senate legislation.

The ASUAF vice president overseas many of the internal matters of ASUAF and works closely with the President and Senate to help the association achieve priorities and goals. The vice president is an ex-officio member of all Senate committees and performs the duties of the president in the event of temporary absence. The vice president will automatically asssume the office of president in the event of a presidential resignation, impeachment, recall or other permanent incapacity.
