Student Opportunities
Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) Research
A six-week, intensive summer residence program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks,
open to Alaskan high school students in their junior or senior year. The program focuses
on teaching the basics of molecular biology as well as preparing students to conduct
scientific research under the guidance of a University affiliated mentor.

TIPS for Teachers
Training Institute for Partnerships in Science (TIPS) is a week-long professional
development institute where high school teachers receive intensive, hands-on training
to master the concepts and tools used in modern molecular biology research.
