The SALIENSEAS project team led a week of workshops, meetings, and interviews in Copenhagen from
12 to 16 November. The Center for Arctic Policy Studies provided "valuable expertise
in support of the workshop". From the SALIENSEAS website description:
"From 12 to 16 November, the SALIENSEAS project team landed in Copenhagen for a week
full of workshops, meetings and interviews. On Monday Machiel Lamers and Jelmer Jeuring
carried out interviews with staff of the Danish Ice Service at the Danish Meteorological
Institute on user engagement in the production and delivery of their services. On
Tuesday Berill Blair and Machiel Lamers ran a scenario workshop to identify the playing
field for marine climate services use in the European marine environment. A total of 23 stakeholders, researchers and MET services personnel participated
in the activities. On Wednesday the SALIENSEAS project partners met to discuss past
and planned activities, as well as tie the social science work and metocean modelling
closer together in this interdisciplinary project. Thanks to all the participants,
the project partners and DMI for a great week!"
