Free Livestream of Arctic Futures 2050 Conference

The Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) and the Arctic Futures 2050 Conference Organizers have announced that the upcoming Arctic Futures 2050 conference will be livestreamed. The conference takes place on September 4-6, 2019 in Washington, D.C., beginning at 8:30 am EST each day. The stream can be viewed for free - no registration, fee, or download is required - at the following link: Search website and a recording will be available post conference for those who are unable to watch live.

Multiple CAPS Affiliates are scheduled to speak at the conference and can be viewed on the livestream. Malinda Chase, Tribal Liaison for the Alaska Climate Adaptation Science Center at  IARC, will moderate a panel on "Indigenous Knowledge Approaches to Informing Policy" at 11:30 am on September 4, and IARC Director Hajo Eicken will participate on a panel discussion on "Emerging Research in the Arctic" at 10:30 am on September 6. SEARCH Executive Director Brendan Kelly will speak at a number of scheduled events throughout the three-day conference.
