Spring Job & Internship Fair

Registration for the 2020 Spring Job & Internship Fair  will open on November 25, 2019 at 8:00 AM (AKST) and will close on February 7th 2020 at 5:00 PM (AKST). 

Early bird registration prices will run from November 25th, 2019  to December 20th, 2019 at 5:00 PM (AKST). After this time, late registration prices will begin. Please note these price changes under "Booths and Pricing."

If you are a NONPROFIT or GOVERNMENTAL entity, you are eligible for a discount:

  • NONPROFIT: $75.00
  • GOVERNMENTAL $25.00

Each organizations is only eligible for one discount. Please email your EIN* to uaf-career@alaska.edu; once verified, we will send you a discount code for you to use at registration.
*If your EIN is not a verified government or 501(c)(3) organization, no discount code will be applied toward your registration.

Interviews

Your organization can reserve space for on-campus interviews when you register online. 

  • As you go through the registration website, please indicate which day and time you'd like a space reserved and schedule your interviews between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Your organization is responsible for all communication and coordination of interviews with your individual applicants.

There is NO extra cost to conduct on-campus interviews.

Parking

For your convenience a shuttle is available to take you to the Wood Center, so please review the UAF campus map  before visiting. A parking pass for the Nenana parking lot (see map) will be attached to your information email; simply print out the parking pass and put it in the window of your vehicle

  1. To find the Nenana lot, enter the campus via Thompson Drive.
  2. At the roundabout take the immediate right onto Tanana Loop.
  3. The Nenana lot will be the first right (across from the SRC/Patty Center).
  4. Be sure to put the provided parking pass in your window.
  5. In your vehicle or the heated shuttle stop located in the center of the parking lot, wait for the shuttle to arrive. It will take you directly to the Wood Center (it stops first at the Eielson Building--don’t get off here unless you’re trying to get your steps in!).
  6. You can track the shuttle at www.uafshuttle.com. The Nenana shuttle route is blue.

If you choose to park in the metered areas, you are responsible for “feeding the meter”.

Display Drop-Off

  1. Materials or displays can be dropped off at the lower entrance to the Wood Center and volunteers will take them to the ballroom.
  2. Enter campus via Thompson Drive.
  3. At the roundabout take the immediate right onto Tanana Loop.  
  4. Follow Tanana Loop to the intersection at the top of a small rise.
  5. Take a left onto South Chandalar, continue up the hill for a short distance and take a left onto Ambler Lane. This leads to the roundabout. After unloading, please proceed to the Nenana parking lot.
  6. There is an elevator to the Wood Center Ballroom on the right side of Arctic Java.

Shipping/Returning Your Booth Display Through Mail

We’re excited you’re bringing ginormous, cool displays to our fair!

We hope that an organization will not cancel, but in the event that an organization chooses to withdraw completely from an event, the following refund schedule will apply. 

  • A full refund will be honored if cancellation is received via email two weeks prior to the event date. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable.
  • Additionally, no-shows are non-refundable/non transferable. 
  • In the event a fair must be cancelled or the date moved, organizations that have already paid will receive a full refund. 

Space is limited so please let us know immediately if you need to cancel as other employers may be waiting to register. We appreciate your consideration.

Whether or not you participate in the job fair every semester, there are plenty of opportunities for your organization to get involved and gain more exposure to the UAF community.   • Mock/practice interview workshop: an opportunity to meet with students and provide valuable, instant feedback on how to have a successful interview.
  • Resume editing: whether one-on-one or as a presentation, share your knowledge with students on the do's & don'ts of resumes!
  • Information session: Do you wish to target a specific major, promote your organization, and recruit for your open job opportunities? Host and information session and show students what you're all about!

  • To register for this event you will need to pay by credit card.
  • Click Fall Events, then click Accounting Recruitment Weeks and checkout.
  • Be sure to fill out all the supplemental questions.

  • In order for students to start applying by TBD we ask that employers post/open their jobs and application by TBD.

  • Instead of having multiple deadlines, we are condensing down to two student deadlines.
    • Firms who interview the first week of ARW: TBD will have a student application deadline of TBD.
    • Firms who interview the second week of ARW: TBD will have a student application deadline of TBD.

Information Sessions & Student Interviews

  • Information sessions and Interview date reservations will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis and will be reserved during the registration process.
  • Once students have been selected for interview, it is up to you to schedule the interview times.
  • Please schedule interviews between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
  • Please send final schedules to uaf-career@alaska.edu.
  • Your interview space will be Bunnell 109.
  • Please indicate if interested in 15 min classroom visits during registration.
