Research Overview

Professor Emeritus David Shaw holds a joint appointment with the Department of Chemistry and the Institute of Marine Science. Since his retirement in 1996, he has continued to actively pursue research concerning the "fate" of organic molecules (both pollutant and natural) in marine environments. In addition he is interested in the ways that scientific information is used in environmental management. Professor Shaw is no longer accepting new graduate students, but is always interested in hearing from former students and anyone else with interesting ideas.
