- Quantitative ecology and animal movement
- Arctic species and climate change
- Community centered research and Indigenous Knowledge documentation
- Marine and foraging ecology
I’m an interdisciplinary researcher focused on methods to analyze animal movement and environmental data to better understand species dynamics and habitat use, and approaches to document Indigenous Knowledge (IK) in ways that meet community needs and to include IK in statistical methods. Much of my research has been focused on Arctic marine ecosystems to try and better understand impacts of climate change and anthropogenic activities on marine species, as well as how we equitably and ethically conserve and manage marine ecosystems for the benefit of all.
