Surface Currents

Project Description

During the open water season, we monitor and record surface currents in the Northeastern Chukchi and Western Beaufort Seas utilizing shore-based High Frequency Radar (HFR) systems. This gives us a near real-time, synoptic picture of surface flow with high spatial and temporal resolution.
