The Down Memory Lane and Centennial Celebration Speakers series highlight important figures in UAF's history.

Down Memory Lane, Mondays at 7 p.m. June 12-Aug. 7, features two professors emeriti in complementary disciplines discussing their work at UAF.

The Centennial Celebration Speakers Series features five notable figures who have shaped UAF — Mark Hamilton on June 18, Dana Thomas on June 25, Wendy Redman on July 23, Marshall Lind on July 30 and Brian Rogers on Aug. 27.

Take an after-hours bike tour of Fairbanks

Upcoming events and activities
Nanook Rendezvous alumni reunion July 20-23 Sign up for at least four of the starred events on the reunion website and be eligible to win a free, round-trip ticket on Alaska Airlines. Drawing will take place July 22 at the Alaska Goldpanners baseball team's Nanook Night. Must be present to win.

Centennial lecture featuring Shankar Vedantam Aug. 25, 6 p.m., Hering Auditorium Shankar Vedantam is a science correspondent with National Public Radio, host of the podcast "Hidden Brain" and author of the 2010 book of the same name. Vedantam’s work focuses on unconscious prejudice and how it affects everything from how people fall in love to how nations go to war.
