On Friday, the U.S. Department of Education released new interim guidance for handling complaints of sexual assault and harassment at colleges and universities.

As President Johnsen expressed in a communication to all UA employees, this new guidance does not change our commitment to Title IX or our resolve to provide a safe campus for students and employees. The Board of Regents policies and university regulations that guide our response to sex- and gender-based discrimination are unchanged.
