The library catalog for Mather and Rasmuson libraries is changing! If you have class tutorials about the UAF library catalog, or link to books or other items in the catalog, you will need to update your class material to reflect the new system. Read more

Drones are fun to watch, but even more fun to fly. Starting Tuesday, Jan. 30, people can check out drones at the Keith B. Mather Library, much like a library book. Drones will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Read more

Utqiagvik, where the climate has changed
Two things happened on top of the world this week. In Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow), on Jan. 22 the sun topped the horizon for the first time since mid-November. The day before that, Jan. 21, was the first time since Halloween the town’s thermometers recorded a below-normal daily average air temperature. Read more
