Last week, the U.S. Department of Education released proposed changes to the rules that govern how universities handle complaints of sexual assault and harassment. These proposed changes to the Title IX rules are still in draft form and will be available for public comment for 60 days once they are published in the Federal Register. The proposed changes are being evaluated by the university’s legal team and Title IX experts. They will work with the UA chancellors and president to prepare the university’s comments on the proposal.
