You likely have already received a letter from United Academics providing the results of a faculty compensation study conducted by the University of Alaska Office of Human Resources. A similar compensation study for staff is currently being analyzed. Details are still emerging about how the University of Alaska will implement compensation adjustments. The strategy for funding market increases will depend on the state budget and the Board of Regents’ decisions regarding how the state funding received is distributed among its priorities.
The good news is that the university is taking steps to bring all faculty to market rates, although it may take some time to get us there. In the meantime, I want to thank you for your teaching, research and service, and your dedication to making UAF a world-class university. I will share more information with you as it becomes available.
