I have received several questions from students and community members about whether UAF’s School of Education is adversely affected by the loss of accreditation at UAA’s School of Education. The short answer is no. Each university has its own school or college of education, and each is separately accredited.
UAF’s education program has been accredited for many years and received its most recent accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, or CAEP, in fall 2018. That accreditation covers 2018-2024.
