Canceled tour season allows study of undisturbed humpback whales

Researchers are collecting valuable information on humpback whales while tourism in Juneau is at a minimum during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data will establish a baseline of behavior and physiology to help determine how whale-watching tour vessels affect whales in more typical years. Read more
