Earlier today, Provost Anupma Prakash and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Keith Champagne sent messages to faculty and students regarding preparation for the fall semester. We continue to seek opportunities for staff whose job can be done remotely to have that opportunity. UA Human Resources is developing guidelines for employees to work from home.

With respect to UAF’s phase-in strategy as outlined in the UA On-site Operations Plan, we continue to plan for moving as many courses to distance delivery as practical while having some classes in-person and students in residency. UAF’s operations will largely look like they do now in Phase B with some exceptions or Phase C with limitations. The UA system remains at Phase B so at this point we are planning for Phase B with some additional exceptions. Either way, we seek a safe environment for all of our employees in which we can continue to offer access to education to UAF students.

As COVID-19 continues to change, so does our response. We will continue to put out information every Tuesday on COVID-19 to keep our campus community updated with what we know and how we will look in the fall.
