UAF Faculty and Instructors,

Print and social media are inundated with news on the coronavirus. You have received messages from President Johnsen and Chancellor White on our preparatory activities to address a variety of scenarios that may occur on our campuses.

At UAF we have an Academic Continuity Plan that guides our actions in case of any disruption that impacts academics. The plan includes steps that we can take to maintain communication with students and how we can use alternate modes to offer courses, in the event that all or a part of a campus is closed or unavailable.

To support your efforts to offer your class online, where feasible, eCampus has prepared this helpful website full of resources and information: https://iteachu.uaf.edu/instructional-continuity/

If you have questions about how to continue your teaching online, please reach out to UAF eCampus which has extended walk-in service hours from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in addition to hosting scheduled online lab hours. If you need technical help with Blackboard, please visit the OIT help page. If you do decide to transition your course to online or you significantly change the length or modality of the course, please notify the Accreditation Liaison Officer (affitts@alaska.edu) so we can report to NWCCU.
