I was saddened to learn that Stephen Cysewski died on Monday. He was a dedicated and innovative teacher, and he was committed to the success of each one of his students.

Professor Cysewski began teaching at UAF in 1991. He retired in 2008 as a professor of computer applications, emeritus. He was also well-known for his photography, where he found a community of like-minded friends from around the world. My condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues.
