Nettie La Belle-Hamer will serve as UAF's next vice chancellor for research. She has
served as UAF's interim VCR since May 2020 and the director of the Alaska Satellite
Facility since 2002.
The university will test its emergency alert system on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022. Students,
employees and visitors to campus should receive one or more test messages.
You can now use your mobile phone to stay informed about COVID-19 exposure on campus
and in the community. Alaska COVID ENX is an opt-in platform available on both iPhones
and Android devices.
COVID-19 is very easy to transmit to others, so it's important to stay home if you
feel even a little bit sick.

IAB Life Sciences Hour Seminar Series returns on Friday, Jan. 21, with a presentation
by Morgan Benowitz-Fredericks, associate professor of biology and Bucknell University.
