La Belle-Hamer named vice chancellor for research

Nettie La Belle-Hamer will serve as UAF's next vice chancellor for research. She has served as UAF's interim VCR since May 2020 and the director of the Alaska Satellite Facility since 2002.


Emergency alert test scheduled Thursday

The university will test its emergency alert system on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022.  Students, employees and visitors to campus should receive one or more test messages.
