greenhouseThe UAF Cooperative Extension Service is bringing Scott Sanford, an emeritus distinguished outreach specialist for the Rural Energy Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, to Alaska in early May to discuss crop storage and ways to extend the growing season in heated greenhouses.

Major 2020 quake triggered neighboring 2021 temblor

A study of two powerful earthquakes in adjacent areas off of the Alaska Peninsula in 2020 and 2021 shows a connection between the two. It also suggests they may be a part of an 80-year rupture cascade along the fault.


Volunteers needed for Really Free Market

UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is seeking volunteers to help with the 2022 Really Free Market. The event will be on May 21 at the Lola Tilly parking lot.
