Moose on the roadMoose on the Move: Science to Prevent Moose-Vehicle Collisions in a Changing Climate

The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy at the International Arctic Research Center is hosting the webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to noon via Zoom. Calum Cunningham, from the University of Washington, will draw a link between seasonal changes in driving difficulty and moose movements. We can use this knowledge to predict the times and places where collision risk is highest, and ultimately reduce avoidable human and animal suffering. To learn more, visit the ACCAP website.

Help support UAF students, programs during 2023 Giving Day

The UAF community is invited to participate in UA Giving Day 2023 on Feb. 22-23. This online fundraising event is a chance for alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to support UAF. This year, we want to increase the number of UAF champions to help make a positive impact on our students' lives. You can help meet this goal by signing up as a UAF champion for Giving Day 2023. Other ways to get involved include making a gift on Giving Day and sharing your story with friends and family on social media and other communication channels. You can also help recruit champions by reaching out to your friends, family and peers to ask them to join us.
