The Federal Aviation Administration has granted a regulatory waiver to the University
of Alaska Fairbanks unmanned aircraft systems test site. The agency’s decision supports aircraft manufacturers and operators in proving safety
of their drones for certification for flight in the national airspace system. Read more.
The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will host a seminar on featuring assistant professor Jennifer Sunday from McGill University. Sunday will present “Thermal tolerance, species interactions and global distributions
in a warming world” on Friday, Feb. 17 from 3-4 p.m. The seminar is available via Zoom and will also be shown in Fairbanks at O’Neill 201
