Spring master gardener classes in Anchorage and Fairbanks are open for registration. Info, registration and required master gardener volunteer application are available online. UAF spring snow removal March 7-26

Facilities Services works around the clock to provide drivable roads and parking spaces for all university stakeholders and hard pack removal is a significant part of the snow clearance. To provide a safe and conducive working environment, we need to close certain parking lots. Please see a complete list of parking lot closures here. Badger Towing will relocate vehicles in closed parking lots at the owner's expense. If you leave your car on campus throughout the break, please park in the Taku lot, off of Farmers Loop Road. Thank you for being so cooperative.

In spring of 1946, five men stationed at the Scotch Cap lighthouse had reasons to be happy. World War II was over. They had survived. Their lonely Coast Guard assignment on Unimak Island would be over in a few months. Read more.
