Explore the museum! Each day will offer new ideas for self-guided discoveries, including
an art prompt, scavenger hunt, and take-home activity (while supplies last). Drop
in any time all day. All ages welcome. Activities are designed for ages 6 and up.

Aquatic ecologist Amy Larsen, Ph.D., from the National Park Service will present research
on Friday, March 10 from 3-4 p.m. in the Murie Auditorium on the Alaska climate envelope undergoing rapid changes that strongly influence watershed
structure and function. She will introduce the NPS's Lake Monitoring Program, and
much of the presentation will focus on the impacts that severe fire has had on a small
watershed located in eastern interior Alaska including major changes in vegetation,
permafrost, and lake water chemistry.
The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will host a seminar on Friday, March 10 from 3-4 p.m. featuring research professor Erin Larson from the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Alaska Center
for Conservation Science. Larson will present “Disruptive synthesis in aquatic ecology: from the Amazon, to
Wikipedia, to extreme events.” The seminar is available via Zoom and will also be
shown in Fairbanks at O’Neill 201 and in Juneau at Lena 101. Please register in advance.

Deadlines and reminders
Starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 the final phase of transitioning all Banner applications and associated Ellucian
products to the cloud will commence, with an expected completion date of no later
than Tuesday, March 14. During that time, there will be absolutely no access to UAOnline or other Banner applications. Single Sign-on (SSO) and Duo Authentication will not be impacted by the outage, nor
will Google applications, Zoom, OU Campus or other non-Banner applications. For more information, see these FAQs.
