Join a presentation on Monday, March 20 from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Murie Auditorium by Dr. Sarad Paudel BVSc & AH, MVSc, Ph.D. research associate with the Michigan State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. Paudel will discuss how active surveillance
of TB in both wild and captive elephants is needed to prevent TB transmission at the
elephant-human interface with a one-health approach and eventually for the conservation
of Asian and African elephants globally.
An overview of what UAF guidance is available online in the areas of Indigenous studies,
research ethics, and ethnographic standards of working with Indigenous peoples will
be provided on Wednesday, March 22 from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. Panelists include: Mike Koskey and Sean Asikłuk Topkok (Interdisciplinary Studies).
