Chancellor White to host online forum on Student Success today at 1 p.m.

Chancellor Dan White will host an online forum today at 1 p.m. on Student Success featuring new academic programs, updates from the Graduate School, expansion of the North Star College, and exciting services offered through the Student Success Center. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting and will be able to ask questions during the forum.


2023 Staff Make Students Count Award nominations due April 28

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2023 Staff Make Students Count Award is April 28, 2023. The Staff Make Students Count Award recognizes university staff who provide outstanding service to students anywhere in the University of Alaska system. Click here for more information on the award and to view the nomination packet.


Pesticide applicator training classes scheduled for April

A three-day certified pesticide applicator training course is scheduled for April 25-27. The University Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will teach the classes via Zoom. The deadline to register for courses at http://bit.ly/PSEPtraining is April 18. Accommodation requests related to a disability should be made five business days in advance to Phillip Kaspari at 907-895-4215 or via email.

UA Museum of the North updates hours for spring and summer

The University of Alaska Museum of the North has updated its spring and summer hours beginning this week.

On Friday, April 7 from 3-4  p.m. in the Murie Auditorium, Professor of Plant Ecology Christa Mulder will discuss her work with Fostering Science, an organization that provides science adventure camps for foster children. Join us to learn about camp development, its goals, how we integrated a wide range of disciplines, its effectiveness in engaging nontraditional household youth, its contribution to DEI goals at UAF, and how you can get involved.
