Registration open for Youth Mental Health First Aid course

UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is offering a Youth Mental Health First Aid course. Taught by Justine Schmidt, this course is designed to teach parents, caregivers, educators, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent experiencing a metal health or addiction challenge. The class meets Mondays and Wednesday, May 8, 10, and 15 from 6-8:30 p.m. Registration is $50 per person. For more information and to register, visit the Summer Sessions website.


Paying for college workshop for students

College isn’t cheap and the economy is rough. College can be affordable, and we have tips on the do’s and don’ts. Join us via Zoom in a workshop on Tuesday, April 18 from 3-4 p.m. Tim Stickel, eCampus financial coach and CBSM personal finance instructor, will go over various topics and answer questions. Space is limited, so register today. In celebration of April as Financial Literacy Month, attendees will be entered into a prize drawing. URSA hosted this year's Research and Creative Activity Day on April 6 in the Wood Center Multilevel Lounge. RCA Day is UAF's campus-wide celebration of undergraduate student engagement. This annual event allows students to showcase their scholarly projects and experiences from the current academic year through the format of posters, presentations, creative displays, and public performances.


Green Bikes Garage Sale coming April 26

UAF Green Bikes will be hosting a garage sale with bikes, tools, and accessories on sale April 26 from 4-6 p.m. at the Wood Center! These freshly tuned-up bikes have been part of the Green Bikes fleet for some time and will be retired, hopefully to a forever home!This is a great opportunity to get a bike in time for summer without breaking the bank.
